What 9 year repayment Plan ?

After 5/6 years how much still owing ??? Worth to keep the car ?

No wonder so many MALAYSIAN cars are "parked" across the
border up North ! Like that I can see insurance premium
going up pretty soon.

Lets see :

Savvy Rm 463.53 per month; nine years = 463.53 x 12 x 9 Total 50,061.24

Gen.2 1.6 (A) RM634.00 x 12 x 9 = Rm 68,472

Waja 1.6 (A) Rm 683.04 x 12 x 9 = Rm 73,768.32.

Like that banyak susah loh - nine years of headaches !

This is totally funny. 8 years ago, it wasn't like that. I remember
when I followed my brother and dad to buy my brother a Wira back then,
we were told that if we did not order on that day, waiting period could
have been 6 months.

How the mighty have fallen, or gone mad, by making so many cars and then

My 18 month old Wira S/E is already giving problems and it is being
used as a second car only!!

I always wondered what happens to the loan if the car has to be
scrapped before the end of the HP period.

You still have a responsibility to pay the balance of the loan. Just
because you bought rubbish, doesn't mean the bank will give you a haircut.

but isn't hire purchase a sort of "hire". just return the car to the
hire purchase company and tell them you don't want to hire any more.
doesn't hire purchse work that way, no?

ps have not read the fine print of any hire purchase t&c yet.

You might want to take a good read at the not necessary fine print.
Hire Purchase, is totally different concept from Hiring With Option to
Purchase. If it were the 2nd case for Proton, no bank will finance this
car.
